At Dreams to Business, our workshops are designed to teach underprivileged children the skills they need to become creative, confident entrepreneurs. Each workshop blends hands-on activities with essential business lessons, empowering kids to turn their passions into opportunities.

EntrepreneurshiP

Kids learn the basics of starting and running a business, from brainstorming ideas to creating a simple business plan.

Beads to business

Combining creativity with business savvy, this workshop teaches children how to make jewelry, price their creations, and market them to customers.

Money Matters

A fun, interactive session focused on budgeting, managing profits and expenses, and understanding the value of money.

Marketing Made simple

Kids discover how to promote their ideas, create brand stories, engage in public speaking and connect with their audience.

Beads to business

Curriculum

A fun and interactive program designed to introduce kids to the basics of starting their own business. Over four days, children will learn key business concepts through engaging lessons and hands-on activities.

Day 1: Chapters 1-2 from Booklet

  • Session 1 (35 min): Introduce the project and the Beads to Business booklet.

  • Break (20 min): Provide snacks and time to socialize.

  • Session 2 (35 min): Brainstorm bracelet ideas and begin designing.

 

Day 2: Chapters 3-4 from Booklet

  • Session 1 (35 min): Review designs and begin creating bracelets using the provided kits.

  • Break (20 min): Provide snacks and ensure kids are engaged.

  • Session 2 (35 min): Continue creating bracelets and introduce packaging options.

 

Day 3: Chapters 5-6 from Booklet

  • Session 1 (35 min): Teach kids how to price their bracelets based on materials and time.

  • Break (20 min): Provide snacks and discuss any questions.

  • Session 2 (35 min): Practice using fake money and calculators to reinforce pricing concepts.

Day 4: Chapters 7-9 from Booklet

  • Session 1 (35 min): Discuss marketing strategies and how to set up a mini-market.

  • Break (20 min): Provide snacks and help kids prepare their display boards.

  • Session 2 (35 min): Practice selling bracelets to each other in a mock setup.

 

Day 5: Mini Market Day

  • Session 1 (35 min): Set up the mini-market space and prepare displays.

  • Break (20 min): Provide snacks and help with last-minute preparations.

  • Session 2 (35 min): Invite parents and community members to the mini-market. Kids present and sell their bracelets, gaining real-world experience.
